For years, I have been intrigued by a mysterious guitar brand that lurks in the shadows! Spotted here and there at guitar stores or at the annual NAMM convention, Michael Kelly Guitars have always fascinated me with their unique styling and blend of affordability and great quality. With a classic set-neck, mahogany construction, unique top wood choice, and flexible control setup … this LP style guitar has more than a few tricks of its sleeve. I’m thrilled that I finally get to review one of these guitars!

Firefly continues their race down the road of affordable guitars! They already have several crowd favorites: the ES-338 semi hollow model, the thinline Tele style… and now they are tackling the traditional LP shape! For a low price of ~$150, how can you go wrong?
